Ruth Langsford's 'clear message' to ex Eamonn Holmes in huge 'divorce move'

A relationship therapist believes Ruth Langsford's alleged plans for a divorce party are a strong signal to her ex Eamonn Holmes. Earlier this month, an insider claimed that the Loose Women presenter is looking forward to "life after divorce" and is excited about new beginnings.

"On the receipt of her being a free woman, she is going to throw a party," they told Heat Magazine. "Her best pals have confirmed that she is on the up, while she's left Eamonn spitting feathers in her wake."

Eamonn and Ruth, who share a 22-year-old son, are currently in the process of a divorce after 14 years of marriage.

Since their split was announced in May, GB News host Eamonn has found love with Katie Alexander, 42, whereas Ruth, 64, is reportedly still single. Commenting on her apparent post-divorce plans, Sofie Roos from Passionerad, believes a party could help Ruth finally put an end to this challenging period.

She commented: "The party can simply work as a way for her to feel that, 'Now the divorce is overdone with, it's time for me to move on'."

Sofie also believes that as Ruth appears to be leaning on her friends for support during the transition, a gathering with everyone together might further uplift her spirits. "I actually think it's a brilliant idea, and even though, for some it might appear as a bit controversial, the idea is not bad at all," she added.

"However, a part of me also thinks the party is a way of showing Eamonn that she won't be having any problems with moving on, just as he did."

Sofie believes this action could also signal to her ex that "she won't be sitting in their old home looking at pictures of them while wanting him back".

Instead, it's transforming their previous shared space into a "new place for socialising and building new strong relationships," with Sofie adding: "I hope she's doing it for herself!".

Ruth has decided to stay in the pair's Surrey abode, whereas Eamonn is reported to have found accommodation in a London apartment.
