Multiple schools have been forced to close after an alleged threat to target them in an attack. Gardai were alerted this morning after a threatening email was sent to multiple schools in the Co Clare area in the early hours of Tuesday.
The email gives the name and address of someone who says he is going to carry out "one of the most prolific attacks in Irish history." The person claimed they will be "armed with multiple firearms," and that they have placed the firearms around schools, the Irish Mirror has reported.
The person also claims they have sent on a "manifesto" to a local newspaper. Gardai confirmed that the incident is under investigation.
