Deputies called to area near Marion Oaks Boulevard, Marion Oaks Drive

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A shooting is under investigation Friday at a shopping plaza in Marion County.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said around 2 p.m. that shots were fired at a BP gas station and a plaza near Marion Oaks Boulevard and Marion Oaks Drive.
Sheriff’s officials said there is heavy law enforcement presence at the scene.
No other information has been provided, but people have been asked to stay away from the area.
