SpaceX preparing for Sunday launch of Falcon 9 from Florida’s Space Coast

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – SpaceX is targeting Sunday for a Falcon 9 rocket launch that will send another batch of Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit.

The launch, from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, is scheduled for a 4 p.m. liftoff with backup opportunities available until 7:59 p.m.

If needed, additional opportunities are also available on Monday, Jan. 8 starting at 4:01 p.m., the space agency said.

According to SpaceX, following stage separation, the first stage will land on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship that will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
