SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – One person is dead after a crash Wednesday morning that prompted a shutdown in all directions of State Road 426 near Bertha, according to the Seminole County Fire Department.

The two-vehicle crash occurred around 8 a.m. where SR-426 meets Via Loma Drive.

There was one occupant in each car, one of whom died while the other suffered no injuries and refused medical transport, firefighters said.

Drivers were advised to find an alternate route.
