Driver ticketed for violation of stop sign/failure to stop
WINTER PARK, Fla. – A driver was ticketed after a Tesla smashed into a home on New Year’s Day, according to Winter Park police.
Police said, “The driver was unfamiliar with the operation of the vehicle and also a mechanical issue occurring which resulted in the crash.”
According to a news release, the unidentified driver was cited for violation of stop sign/failure to stop.

Police said there was no information to suggest the driver was using the Tesla’s autopilot feature and no signs of impairment.
News 6 is working to find out the time and location of the crash.
