The kittens, who are named Sponge Cake, Mocha, and Donut, began as indoor pet but they were trained to travel.

Dan, who works as a lawyer, said they took them' through Central Park a lot' to get the cats used to people and the outdoors before progressing to traveling abroad.

Speaking on This Morning to Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson, Dan said: We took them through Central Park a lot, they did very well there and so we took them to the city, so we went down 5th Avenue to Time Square and they got used to it.'

He continued: 'Then when we thought about traveling we thought there is no reason they go with us, and we didn't want to go with out them, so we decided to bring them along with us.'

Dan admitted getting certifications from their vets for certain airlines was helpful and making sure the cats had the correct vaccinations prior to traveling

Taking Sponge Cake, Mocha, and Donut abroad can get complicated as most countries have different rules about traveling with cats.

Dan admitted getting certifications from their vets for certain airlines was helpful and making sure the cats had the correct vaccinations prior to traveling.

Some airlines require animals to be put into the hold under the plane, however Dan and Olivia's cats are small enough to go in the cabin.

Speaking on This Morning Dan said: 'They go into a carrier and go under the seat in front. They sleep and eat treats for the full flight.’
