OCALA, Fla. – A Walmart Supercenter in Ocala was evacuated Sunday afternoon due to a bomb threat, according to police.

The Ocala Police Department said at 1:23 p.m. on social media it had responded to the store at 4980 E. Silver Springs Blvd., reporting a significant presence of first responders there.

The public was advised to avoid the area as an investigation continues.

No other details were shared at the time of this report.
