Gifts to help 6,000 celebrate Christmas
ORLANDO, Fla. – Trooper Steve and News 6 reporter Ezzy Castro have a special assignment on Friday.
They are taking Angel Tree toys from the News 6 studios to the Angel Tree joy center, also known as Santa’s workshop.
This year, all 6,000 angels were adopted, including 1,000 seniors.
During News 6′s Giving Tuesday phone bank, $239,605 was raised thanks to News 6 viewers and media partners, including a $100,000 donation from Light Orlando.
Angel Tree distribution day is set for Dec. 14, when Angel Tree families will be able to pick up their gifts.
