ST. ANTHONY — Several issues will be discussed during a court hearing for Chad Daybell in Fremont County Wednesday morning.
Motions have been filed by John Prior, Daybell’s defense attorney, and prosecutors Lindsey Blake and Rob Wood concerning change of venue for the trial, cameras in the courtroom, taking death penalty off the table and other issues.
Daybell is charged with multiple crimes, including conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree murder. His wife, Lori Vallow Daybell, was found guilty of similar charges in May and is serving a life sentence. The charges are in relation to the deaths of 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan — two of Lori’s kids — and Chad’s first wife, Tammy Daybell.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. District Judge Steven Boyce is permitting court cameras in the hearing, which EastIdahoNews.com will livestream in the video player above.
