William Tyrrell's Mother Welcomes Sixth Child as Missing Boy Would Have Turned 13

On what would have been William Tyrrell's 13th birthday, his biological mother has given birth to her sixth child. The woman, whose identity is protected for legal reasons, is also celebrating her 36th birthday.

William vanished in September 2014 while under the care of his foster parents in Kendall on the New South Wales mid-north coast. As the tenth anniversary of his disappearance approaches, the case remains one of Australia's most high-profile missing child investigations.

The biological mother, who welcomed her second youngest child in December 2022, is engaged to her current partner, according to her Facebook profile. Recent photos show her with her toddler and newborn, highlighting the family's new addition.

The day William disappeared, police conducted a search of his biological mother's home in Blacktown, western Sydney. Over the years, she has faced various personal challenges, including encounters with law enforcement and unstable relationships. In a 2018 TV interview, she expressed her deep anguish over William's disappearance, stating she felt "like the worst mum in the world" and wished dire consequences upon those responsible for taking him.

William was removed from his biological parents at seven months old in early 2012 and placed into the care of the Department of Family and Community Services (FACS), eventually being fostered. His biological mother testified at the 2019 inquest into his disappearance, expressing that she never gave up hope of being reunited with him.

Police investigations into the potential involvement of William's foster mother in his disappearance have been paused until after an inquest into his suspected death. The foster mother, also unnamed for legal reasons, has consistently denied any involvement.
