Woman dies after crashing into tree in Caldwell

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

CALDWELL — Idaho State Police is investigating a fatality crash that occurred at 4:13 p.m. on Monday near the intersection of East. Homedale Road and Compass Way in Caldwell.

A 43-year-old woman from Caldwell was driving westbound on Homedale Road in a 2006 Honda Accord when the vehicle drifted off the north shoulder and struck a tree.

The driver succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
