Woman standing in road hit and killed by car near Mountain Home

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian collision which occurred Tuesday at 5:46 p.m. on northbound State Highway 67 near milepost 7, west of Mountain Home.

A 2008 Nissan Titan, driven by a 71-year-old female from Grand View, was driving northbound on State Highway 67 when she collided with a pedestrian standing in the lane of travel.

The pedestrian, a 55-year-old woman from Mountain Home, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was not transported.

All lanes in both directions were blocked for approximately three hours, allowing emergency responders to assist those involved and clear the scene.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
