(NewsNation) — Users of the latest iPhones now have a variety of Apple Intelligence features at their fingertips whether they want them or not.
What if they don’t want them?
The suite of artificial intelligence features — including enhanced ChatGPT, customized emojis and summaries of mail and messages — is enabled automatically with Monday’s release of the operating system iOS 18.3. The latest iPads and Macs will similarly be equipped with them.
However, not everyone wants to use the Apple Intelligence bundle, or at least not every bell and whistle, which can take up storage space.
A variety of tech media experts offered hacks to disable Apple Intelligence altogether or cherry-pick the features users want.
Disabling everything, according to Wired, is as simple as opening settings on your device, scrolling to “Apple Intelligence & Siri” and toggling Apple Intelligence to the “off” setting.
Users can also delete individual Apple Intelligence features by chasing down the settings for the related app, according to a CNET how-to guide.
