Hankook Tire aims to boost revenue in North America with the launch of its new high-performance tire lineup, the Ventus evo. The tire maker expects the enhanced brake capability and strong cornering of the Ventus evo to drive increased demand from automotive clients there, the tire maker said Monday.
The Ventus evo is the fourth-generation model in Hankook Tire’s flagship Ventus brand. The company used artificial intelligence for the optimal compound development of the tire.
The company launched the product in both North America and the Middle East, aiming to increase its market share in key overseas markets, where demand for ultra-high-performance tires is rising. Hankook Tire supplies tires for high-performance vehicle models — such as the BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe.
According to data from the tire manufacturer, its overseas exports accounted for 90 percent of total sales in the third quarter of 2024.
The latest model features upgraded brake capabilities and solid cornering compared to its predecessor. The Ventus eco also helps vehicles enhance their fuel efficiency while also supporting their sports driving performance. Another key upside is its extended tire mileage compared to the previous model. The company adopted a more advanced tire pattern design for the product, increasing its mileage by up to 32 percent.
In November 2024, the company launched the tire model in Europe and is on track to diversify sales territories in other markets. Hankook Tire hopes to enhance its global footing as a premium tire manufacturer with its high-performance lineup.
Recognized for its tire manufacturing expertise, the company also supplies high-tech performance tires to major luxury carmakers, such as Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi.
