Hyundai AutoEver, the software subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, said Tuesday it signed a business agreement with Maersk Contract Logistics (MCL) Korea to establish an intelligent logistics system.

Under the agreement, the two companies plan to jointly develop artificial intelligence (AI) powered logistics technology and establish an innovation center in the first half of the year to test and validate these solutions.

Leveraging its expertise in smart factory technology, Hyundai AutoEver will provide optimized intelligent logistics solutions, while MCL Korea will offer a real-world environment for testing and validation.

Hyundai AutoEver is currently developing an IT solution for logistics automation at an apparel-focused online and offline integrated logistics center in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, which will allow MCL Korea to manage its integrated operations.

“Based on our 20 years of expertise in smart factory technology, we will provide customers with an intelligent logistics center capable of real-time data processing and integrated control of various robots and facilities,” said Jang Yeun-sae, head of Hyundai AutoEver's SDx Division.
