LG Innotek will exhibit its advanced vehicle lighting technologies at the 34th Lighting Workshop hosted by Driving Vision News (DVN) in Germany next week, the company said Wednesday.
The DVN Lighting Workshop is an exhibition and forum for global carmakers and auto parts makers, hosted by the France-based vehicle lighting and vision technology journal. The workshop will take place in Munich, Tokyo, Detroit and Shanghai throughout this year, and LG Innotek will first participate in the Munich event, slated for Feb. 19 to 20.
During the event, LG Innotek plans to promote its Nexlide lighting module, which combines traditional pixel lighting with smart film technology to distribute light more evenly and brightly while providing a thinner module profile.
Following the DVN Lighting Workshop, LG Innotek plans to hold a road show targeting major European carmakers. An LG Innotek official said the company has been focusing on Korean and North American carmakers, but now seeks to expand its presence in the European and Japanese automotive lighting market to grow its automotive lighting into a multitrillion-won business by 2030.
“By showcasing distinctive automotive lighting modules, we will renew ourselves as a technology partner trusted by carmakers not only in North America but also in Europe and Japan,” LG Innotek Senior Vice President Yoo Byaeng-kuk said.
