Housing materials maker LX Hausys is expanding its presence in the United States, exhibiting its advanced surface materials at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS).

The company said Thursday it has been showcasing a range of finishing materials, including engineered stones, furniture boards and floor tiles at KBIS 2025 in Las Vegas since Tuesday.

KBIS, the largest kitchen and bath trade show in North America, has a 61-year history. This year, more than 600 companies from around the world are participating in the event.

At this year’s exhibition, LX Hausys set up a booth under the theme “Curating Kitchen and Bath Spaces” and is showcasing 12 new products from its Viaterra engineered stone line. The company is also presenting new offerings, including vinyl tile flooring designed for residential environments in the Western market and furniture boards.

Among the products, Viaterra-Splendor and Viaterra-Cloud Ridge are gaining favorable responses from audiences at the show, as they feature larger and more intricate vein patterns, which replicate natural marble textures more elegantly, according to the company.

Engineered stone refers to a surface material containing more than 90 percent natural quartz to enhance durability. It features designs close to natural stone at more reasonable prices, gaining popularity for finishing kitchen countertops, desks and floor and wall coverings in commercial buildings such as hotels, resorts and cafes.

In the North American market, demand for engineered stone is growing, driven by customers' preference for premium kitchen and bath designs. LX Hausys said it participated in the exhibition to capitalize on this trend and accelerate its growth in the U.S. market.

Since establishing its engineered stone plant in Georgia in 2011, LX Hausys has been expanding its localization strategies in the North American market, setting up a Canadian sales body in 2017. It also expanded its engineered stone production line in 2020 and opened a showroom in New York in 2023.

Currently, LX Hausys is positioning itself as one of the leading players in the North American engineered stone market, alongside companies such as Cosentino of Spain, MSI of the U.S. and Caesarstone of Israel.

“We will spare no effort in securing new clients and promoting our differentiated products and technologies to the North American market through KBIS 2025,” an LX Hausys official said.

“We will continue reinforcing our regional competitiveness with thorough localization strategies ranging from production to retailing.”
