The Department of Examinations has announced a key update regarding the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination results, confirming that the release process is now in its final stage.
Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Kumari Liyanage stated that the results are expected to be released before the upcoming Sinhala and Tamil New Year, with all required procedures nearing completion.
Officials noted that the evaluation, marking, and verification processes have been expedited to ensure a timely and accurate release, as thousands of students across the country await their results.
The release of the A/L results is a crucial milestone for candidates, as it determines eligibility for state university admissions and higher education opportunities in Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, the Department also confirmed that marking of the 2025 G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) examination papers has already commenced. Practical examinations for O/L candidates are scheduled to be held in the latter part of April.
Authorities stated that steps will be taken to release the O/L results soon after the completion of these practical examinations.
