K-pop girl group 2NE1 will be returning for an end-of-year performance at SBS Gayo Daejeon, a decade since their last appearance at the broadcaster's music festival.

SBS confirmed that the group joined the lineup for its end-of-year ceremony, which is set to be held on Dec. 25 at Inspire Arena on Incheon's Yeongjong Island.

“This is 2NE1's first time to join Gayo Daejeon in 10 years since 2014. 2NE1 has previously created legendary stages with overwhelming charisma and stage presence that captivated audiences. So its appearance (this year) is drawing much attention from global K-pop fans,” the broadcaster said in its release.

This will be the group’s first end-of-year stage appearance since the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards, which was recognized as one of its best performances among fans, surpassing 50 million YouTube views.

The group’s agency YG Entertainment shared that the members — Park Bom, Sandara Park, CL and Minzy — were determined to take part in the ceremony and give a strong performance for their fans.

“Despite their tight tour schedule, the four members had a strong will to provide special memories to fans on their 15th debut anniversary," it said. "We will repay the love you have shown us with the best stage, so please look forward to it."

Along with the group, many K-pop stars are set to give performances at the festival, including IVE, NCT 127, Stray Kids, aespa and NewJeans.
