INB100, the singer's agency, announced the release on Friday, unveiling a teaser image on social media. The image, designed to resemble a mobile phone notification, reads, "XIUMIN would like to share The 2nd Mini Album 'Interview X,'" along with its release date, March 10.

This release marks Xiumin's first solo project since his debut album in September 2022. According to INB100, the new album offers "a deeper look at Xiumin, both the sides fans never knew and the ones they've always wanted to see."

Xiumin, 34, debuted in 2012 as a member of boy band EXO under SM Entertainment. The group rose to stardom with hits like "Growl" (2013), "Love Me Right" (2015) and "Love Shot" (2018), cementing its status as one of the most influential boy bands of the 2010s.

In 2016, Xiumin joined fellow EXO members Baekhyun and Chen to form the subunit EXO-CBX. The trio later left SM in 2023 following a contract dispute, thereby signing with INB100.

The new agency now manages all their individual activities while they continue EXO's full-group promotions under SM.

Xiumin kicked off the year with his EXO-CBX bandmates through the "2025 CBX JAPAN FANMEETING 'GET, SET, GO!'" concert spanning two days, Feb. 8 and 9, in Japan.
