Wonders of nature are endless. That statement was confirmed once again with terrific news of the wonderful twin elephant birth that happened in Pinnawala, Sri Lanka. The pearl of the Indian ocean AKA Sri Lanka is quite popular for its wild beauty.
And elephants have a bigger part in this. The female elephant who is called ‘Surangi’ is the mother of these cute little calves.
This is a historic event that happens in the Pinnawala elephant orphanage because it’s very rare for elephants to have twin babies. Moreover, its the very first twin elephant birth of registered domesticated elephants in the Pinnawala elephant orphanage.
The first baby was born at 4 in the morning while the other one came out at 10 in the morning. Furthermore, we were fortunate to learn that both male calves and the mother elephant are in perfect health condition as well.
